  1. Hop along to Hylands

    This Sunday 4th November 2018 just a short hop from Chelmsford Hylands House opens its doors free of charge. If you are looking to buy property in Chelmsford it can be good to get to know a bit more about the local environment and what it has to offer. Finding out about Hylands is a good place to start, and there is a lot on offer. 

    To reveal the secrets of this lovely country house and its history each month the Friends of Hylands House offer an exhibition displayed in the library. Alongside this, you can enjoy free guided tours of Hylands House led by the knowledgeable team or just walk around at your leisure. There are guided tours on offer at 1100 & 1400. Please note that the last entry into Hylands House at 3 pm.

    If you like to shop in addition to visiting the house and grounds of this historical building, Hylands Farmers’ & Crafts Market are open. The Farmer’s and Crafts Market are held on the first Sunday’s of the month. They are open this Sunday 4th November from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

    It’s based in the beautiful surroundings of The Stables at Hylands House. The market features many craft stalls and local producers who are passionate about food. The stalls sell a range of produce including locally reared meat, artisan delicacies, handcrafted gifts, freshly baked bread, and wonderfully sweet and savoury pastries. You can simply browse the range of interesting and unique food offering and gifts or start your Christmas Shopping!

    If you still have the energy Hylands House artist studios located outside The Stables are open and free to visit so you to browse and walk around at your leisure from 10 am to 4 pm. Living in Chelmsford offers lots of opportunities to get out and about for the whole family.
