    Planning to live in Chelmsford could be part of your new year new you plan. If you have children or are planning to have children Chelmsford that forms part of the London commuter belt in Essex is a fantastic family-friendly location. The new city has a wealth of activities on offer whether you have small children or teenagers; there is a whole range of family days in and around Chelmsford that will help keep everyone entertained.

    For an easy afternoon or evening out a trip to the Chelmsford City Bowl is likely to be a hit.  Ten-pin bowling is the main activity here but there are also pool tables in a more family friendly environment than a put but food and drink is available too.

    Then as the winter months continue weatherproof entertainment is important. The Odeon cinema in Chelmsford has all the latest releases and special screenings too, from sporting events to Odeon Kids. For really little kids Soft play is a great way for children to let off steam and make new friends through the winter time. Cheeky Monkeez is a soft play centre in Chelmsford that also runs events and hosts parties.

    If you are determined to get some outdoor activity in there is always West Park Pitch Putt and Crazy Golf has a 9-hole course available, plus a mature 18-hole pitch and putt course, as well as a 9-hole footgolf course. And if it’s adventure and variety in the open air you’re after, Marsh Farm is ideal. From tractor rides to a bouncy castle and climbing frames there are plenty of activities and animals – goats, pigs and cows to visit.

    If you’re looking to get to know the area of Chelmsford a little better with your family before you commit to buying property here, then Treasure Trails provides an exciting local route with real treasure at the end of it! The trail is around two miles long and takes an hour and a half to complete.
